The Library of Tibetan Works and Archivesis found just a short walk from the Dalai Lama’s temple to Gangchen Kyishong, the administrative center of the Tibetan Governmnent-in-exile.Along with temporary refugee housing, political and social work offices, one can find. An impressively ornate building, the Library houses the literary treasures of Tibet and has an ongoing exhibition on Tibetan history. While only scholars may access the library’s closed shelves, regular visitors are welcome to visit the open stacks with reference books.
